About the role

Our Marketing team is at the heart of our social mission, building a strong school-focused brand, driving new interest in our products, and helping to keep our community of schools and partners happy and engaged.

We’re looking for a Senior Marketing Manager to play a lead role in our demand generation workstream, with a specific focus on building up two new areas: Partner and Upsell Marketing. It’s an exciting time to join the business - we’ve surpassed 1,000 school customers, just raised £3m in funding, and have grown a network of Partners who support over 10,000 schools in England. We’re looking for a B2B Marketer up for the challenge of growing our Partner and Upsell Marketing capabilities into strong lead generation channels as we evolve the way we market over 2020 and beyond. 

Reporting to our Head of Marketing, you’ll work closely with the broader Marketing Team as well as our dedicated Channel and Account Management Teams.

Core responsibilities

Partner Marketing

  • Working closely with our dedicated Partner Team to design and deliver our Partner Marketing strategy, reviewing monthly to hit agreed OKRs
  • Running co-marketing campaigns, events, and other activities with our network of partners
  • Effectively marketing Arbor’s products through our partner network
  • Developing strategies to market to our partner network, helping them to become strong, active brand advocates
  • Working with our LA Development Manager and Bid Manager to market Arbor to Local Education Authorities, helping us to become top of mind when they go to tender
  • Managing the Partner Marketing budget

Upsell (Customer) Marketing

  • Working closely with our Head of Account Management to develop and execute on our Upsell Marketing strategy
  • Developing lead generation initiatives to help our Account Management team hit their targets
  • Work with Product Marketing and our Product Team to plan in strategic product launches
  • Ensure our customers are engaged in our brand and community, helping us to create new Arbor Ambassadors

Lead/Demand Generation

  • Help to coach two Marketing Managers working on new business demand generation
  • Ensure the Lead Generation workstream is cohesive, and on track to hit termly targets
  • Work closely with Heads of Marketing and Sales Development to suggest improvements to our ways of working, and specifically ways we can improve lead conversion

About you

We’re looking for someone with 4+ years of B2B marketing experience, ideally within tech. Beyond that we’d love to see:

  • Experience of channel/partner marketing  
  • Ability to flex from leading the overall Partner and Customer Marketing Strategy to being hands on in execution 
  • Excellent copywriting and editing skills - you can turn a piece of writing into something special
  • Experience managing budgets effectively 
  • Ideally you will have line management or coaching experience
  • Excellent collaborator who enjoys working across multiple teams, internally and externally
  • A creative and analytical mindset; equally comfortable working with data as you are with a Designer
  • An imaginative thinker who can conceive of new ways to tackle a problem and is driven enough to push on and bring ideas to completion
  • Strong analytical skills and data driven thinking with a passion to use data to drive growth
  • An entrepreneurial spirit. Someone who will feel a strong sense of ownership over their goals, and sustain their interest and effort towards achieving these

The safety and wellbeing of all Arbor employees is our number one priority. Therefore this role will be home based for the foreseeable future during the COVID-19 outbreak and will subsequently be based at our Leeds City Centre or West London office once it is safe to return to an office environment. We will visit customers when schools are adapted to their new ways of working and are ready to welcome us.
