About the role

Our Finance team is a fast paced and scaling function, made up of dedicated and passionate people in a growing team! 

We are looking for a Newly Qualified Management Accountant to join the Finance team and help us scale up to match the size of our business and growing business needs. The remit and focus of the role is to work closely with our Finance Director and Finance Manager to improve time capacities in  the existing structure. It’s a broad and exciting role, so we’re looking for someone up for a challenge - if you’re a quick learner, driven and motivated in a rapidly growing business, this is the role for you.

Core responsibilities

  • Management accounts for inclusion with Arbor monthly management pack (P&L, Balance Sheet + commentary).
  • Management accounts adjustments, accruals, prepayments
  • Variance analysis
  • Maintaining monthly balance sheet reconciliations
  • Key contact for the company’s financial activity
  • Capitalisation of development assets + owning the asset register
  • External reporting to ONS / government initiatives
  • Quarterly VAT returns (MTD)
  • Annual PAYE Settlement Agreement
  • Assistance on annual R&D Tax Credit claim
  • Assistance to Finance Manager on sales commissions
  • Audit assistance + preparation of the audit file
  • Calling out system improvements and supporting the Finance Manager with ad hoc duties

About you 

We’re looking for someone who really thrives in a fast-paced environment, able to learn quickly and passionate about helping the wider business. Beyond that, we’d love to see:

  • Recently qualified ACCA/CIMA is required.
  • Experience with Netsuite is a bonus, but not required
  • Experience in technology and/or a SaaS business is a bonus, but not required 
  • Experience and/or desire to work at a fast growing, but young business is mandatory
  • Proficient in spoken and written English
