Senior Marketing Manager (Maternity Cover - 12 month FTC)
About us
At Arbor, we’re on a mission to transform the way schools work for the better.
You’ve probably seen the headlines. Heavy workloads, constant change, admin pressure on teachers and staff at every level… sometimes it feels like this is just part and parcel of school life today. But it doesn’t have to be this way.
At Arbor, we passionately believe that there’s a better way to work. And it starts by giving everyone the right tools and technology for the job. Over 5,500 schools and trusts use our products to work more collaboratively, free staff from busywork, and drive their schools forward.
Ultimately, we’re here to help make our schools and trusts stress a little less, and focus on what matters most - improving the lives of teachers and outcomes of students everywhere.
About the Role
We’re looking for an interim Senior Marketing Manager to cover maternity in our team. This is an exciting and varied role - you’ll lead our demand generation team, supporting the work of our two excellent Marketing Managers and helping us reach pipeline goals each term. You’ll be accountable for the plan, but will also work directly on initiatives across direct, indirect, and national marketing to schools.
This is a great opportunity for a marketer passionate about driving social impact, and keen to work in a high-achieving, supportive team.
Responsibilities
Work across our demand gen team and the wider business to design our national schools marketing strategy, helping us to reach agreed pipeline targets
Plan and execute demand generation campaigns across multiple channels, including email, events and digital
Build out nurture campaigns to increase engagement and intent with prospects
Use data to report against and optimise campaigns
Manage our two Marketing Managers, helping them to reach their goals and develop in their careers
Act as a brand custodian, ensuring comms have the right look and feel
Work collaboratively with our Sales, Partner, Account Management and Product Marketing teams to achieve your goals
What will you achieve in your first 6 months?
Take ownership of our demand generation programme, making sure our campaigns are creative, convert well, and are beautifully written
Own key initiatives across direct, indirect and national marketing (from ad campaigns, to PR, to email, to events)
Become a whizz with Hubspot, using it to convert leads with ease
Help us pull off several major events - some run in-house, and others with third parties
Become an essential part of our Marketing team
About you
Hands-on experience in B2B Marketing, ideally within tech or SaaS
Ability to flex from leading the overall Direct and Partner Marketing Strategy to being hands on in execution
Excellent copywriting and editing skills - you can turn a piece of writing into something special
Experience managing budgets
1-2 years experience line management
Excellent collaborator who enjoys working across multiple teams
Experience using Hubspot, or similar marketing CRM software e.g. Salesforce Marketing Cloud or Marketo
A creative, commercial and analytical mindset; equally comfortable working with data as you are with a Designer or supporting our Head of Sales
An imaginative thinker - you can conceive of new ways to tackle a problem, and are driven enough to push on and bring ideas to completion
Strong analytical skills and data driven thinking, with a passion to use data to drive growth
An entrepreneurial spirit. Someone who will feel a strong sense of ownership over their goals, and sustain their interest and effort towards achieving these
Adaptable and agile - able to flex a marketing programme as goals, market needs, or sales plans change
