About the role
As Integrations Engineer, you will be responsible for managing systems migrations across a number of systems within the group, some external and some in-house. You will with the data to ensure the most effective possible migration and for reviewing with stakeholders to ensure all data is as expected.
Core responsibilities
Creating appropriate documentation for new feature developments, including diagrams where appropriate
Writing appropriate tests around new features and ensure appropriate test coverage
Producing well written code using standard design patterns and methods
Participating in code reviews and pair programming with colleagues
Participating in tech-talks and team based learning to ensure knowledge is spread
Ensuring consistent delivery of features according to prioritised roadmap, ensuring consistent velocity
About you
You will have a deep interest in engineering and integrations with a keen desire to learn and continually improve, both yourself, our engineers, and the lives of our users. Beyond that we’d love to see;
Extensive experience of data integration tools and ETL pipelines, including tooling in this space
Experience of Object Oriented languages and software development
Understanding of software engineering principles, such as SOLID, DRY etc
Understanding of relational database technologies
A positive and proactive attitude to problem solving
A team player, willing to muck in and help others when needed, driven personality who asks questions and actively participates in discussions
Good written and spoken English so you can present your ideas - our HQ is based in London
Minimum 2 years experience in software development
Bonus points if you have:
Knowledge and experience of a data warehousing solution and related tooling (e.g. Snowflake, RedShift)
Worked in an agile environment, using Scrum or Kanban, with continuous delivery.
Familiarity with ERP systems and integrations, such as Salesforce
