About the role
As Sales Development Team Leader you will be responsible for managing the team that identifies and develops opportunities created by Marketing or by outbound prospecting. Your team is the first to speak to our customers.
You will balance relationships between Marketing and new Sales, and guard the processes that flow between teams to support qualified lead generation, representing this crucial step in the customer journey.
You will be passionate about seeing your team grow and develop both professionally and personally. You will understand team dynamics, strength areas and areas for development and be able to naturally motivate your team through celebrating success. You’ll be a sales professional to the core.
Core responsibilities
Manage a team of 4 sales development representatives in an established SD team. Mentoring, coaching and motivating them as well as structured professional development plans.
Deliver qualified pipeline to meet ambitious sales targets
Help with recruitment, team brand and onboarding for a growing SDR team
Manage pipeline and lead analysis and reporting
Being the Sales Development representative in marketing & leadership forums
Work collaboratively with our field sales team, understanding their priorities and helping them identify the best opportunities
Lead relationship with Salesworks (for Hubspot optimisation) and any other system consultants
Monthly individual 1:1 meetings with your team as well as weekly team check ins to understand any blockers/challenges
About you
A proven track record of achieving targets in a sales development role
Experience of using multiple channels of communication to engage and excite prospects
Someone ready to step up in to a management role with some great ideas as to how to shape this team
A passion for building something new and able to consistently tweak to improve outcomes
Someone who is keen to learn and develop new skills in a fast paced and agile business
Technology or SaaS background
You can use Hubspot or Salesforce or both, well
Someone who has an interest in education and has experience in impact beyond work
Able to manage their time well and happy to travel across offices in London and Leeds
A natural ability to coach and mentor ambitious sales people!
