Role Overview

We’re looking for an experienced FP&A Manager to lead the Groups FP&A team of three and to be the Group’s key finance business partner. You'll provide accurate annual budgets & monthly reforecasts as well as conducting quantitative and qualitative analysis of key operational aspects of the company in order to evaluate progress toward achieving our goals as a group

A day in the life of a Finance Systems Manager at The Key Group

  • Managing the FP&A team including coaching and mentoring your direct reports
  • Preparation and development of monthly financial performance reporting packs, to include analysis and commentary of variances to plan
  • Independently conducting monthly review meetings with budget holders and to act as a key point of contact to support the budget holders with commercial business, capital and investment proposals
  • Being the finance contact for our senior business stakeholders to support them in shaping strategy and in making informed business / commercial decisions
  • Build strong relationships and provide financial support to commercial decision makers, within a nimble and agile environment
  • Challenging business managers to ensure that all concepts have been properly considered before presenting to the business
  • Challenging current ways of working to drive efficiencies and cost savings 
  • Working through issues and operational challenges with project teams and other stakeholders; getting into details to ensure you understand the cost drivers of the business and can provide insight to the non-finance members
  • Analyse and understand key and crucial processes surrounding the potential M&A activity and provide insights and data to aid decision makers
  • Be dependent on your resourcefulness and ability to influence and partner with all managers in the business units

About you

  • You have experience managing and developing an FP&A team in a SaaS business.  Even better if you built your team!
  • You hold a recognised CCAB accounting qualification
  • Past experience building, analysing and manipulating financial models to assess business performance
  • You can demonstrate experience in analysing and understanding financial processes within a tech start-up / high growth, agile organisation
  • You have experience of running and performing budgeting or forecasting processes
  • Bring a commercial mind and the ability to partner with business stakeholders

  • SME / tech / education sector experience
