Role Overview

We’re looking for a Senior Product Marketing Manager to help us bring our macro level product messages to life. You’ll own the positioning of our flagship products like Arbor for MATs, and Arbor for Secondary Schools, helping us to differentiate them, improve win rate, and reduce time to close.

You’ll also manage go-to-market strategy for new products and features coming out soon, partnering closely with our Product, Sales and Customer teams to make each launch a success.


A day in the life of a Senior Product Marketing Manager at Arbor

  • Crafting compelling, differentiated product-level positioning and key messages for Arbor’s core products
  • Own go-to-market planning alongside our Product Team Leadership. Improve our “large, medium and small” product release processes
  • Partnering with Sales Leadership to understand how Product Marketing can support them with sales enablement and product training
  • Building out sales enablement collateral which helps us improve our win rate
  • Develop insight-driven customer personas for key roles in schools, MATs and LAs
  • Own messaging and positioning that describes the value of Arbor for each customer segment
  • Partner with Product, Sales and Customer on major product releases and changes in company go-to-market, including pricing changes
  • Partner with Demand Generation, Sales Development and Account Management to ensure our upsell campaigns are as effective as possible
  • Validate and iterate on messaging through research and experimentation
  • Coach and develop a Product Marketing Manager

Role Progression

Within 1 month, you’ll: 

  • Have a solid understanding of our core products and users
  • Understand how our Marketing Team works - and how Product Marketing contributes to our goals
  • Have met key team members from Sales, Customer and Product
  • Be contributing to go to market planning, and learning how we do it

Within 3 months, you’ll: 

  • Be managing some of our upcoming feature releases independently alongside Product and Sales
  • Be confident using our house style and brand to create collateral 
  • Be an expert in our products
  • Have met several schools and MATs to help build your understanding of our customers

Within 6 months, you’ll: 

  • Be a key part of our roadmapping process - you’ll know which new features are coming down the line and will be able to own bringing them to market
  • Own our macro product positioning across our portfolio
  • Have built out our library of collateral alongside our Sales Team

About you 

We’re looking for a passionate team leader, with great mentoring skills.

Beyond that, we’d love to see:

  • Experience in B2B product marketing or brand marketing
  • A real talent for crafting compelling messaging and making copy shine
  • 2+ years experience as a line manager - you love coaching and developing people
  • You thrive at the intersection of creating strategy and process, and helping cross-functional teams to execute
  • A passion and aptitude for data analysis, advocating for customers and critical thinking
  • Strong aesthetic skills, with a keen eye for maximising the impact of collateral to build brand equity
  • Experience working with digital product and B2B sales teams to bring products to market
  • Experience with customer research and surveys

Bonus points if you have:

  • Experience pricing products
  • Experience in or with schools
