Giles got his first insight of the thrills and spills of software development during a module that involved building basic websites whilst studying for his Music degree. He didn’t think he could viably pursue a career in development until he worked at a secondary school four years later, and was mentoring a student who wanted to be a programmer. In 2016, hoping to help the educators in his life, he joined a school MIS and pupil tracker software company, and has been working in EdTech ever since. Outside of work, Giles still likes playing music (like all of his developer friends who are also on the verge of that record deal), as well as cars, DIY, comics, films, television, sports and his cats.
